We acknowledge the vision given to us thousands of years ago in the words of Jesus from Matthew 22:37-39,
And He said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
Therefore, no matter what we do, we will always be about two things: loving God and loving people.

At the core of everything we believe is God—eternal, personal, and unchanging. He’s not distant or detached but actively engaged in our world as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus, fully God and fully man, walked among us, showing us the way, giving His life to rescue ours, and rising again to secure our future. The Holy Spirit is our guide, convicting, comforting, and empowering us to live out our faith with boldness and grace. We hold fast to Scripture as the unshakable truth—it’s not just ancient words but the living, breathing foundation of our faith. We believe God created us with purpose, designed for relationship with Him and each other. Humanity’s brokenness is real, but so is redemption through Jesus. Salvation isn’t about earning our way to God—it’s about His grace, freely given to those who trust in Him.

We educate ourselves in God’s truth.
The way we love is embodied in the way we live. We live on mission with God by making disciples, building community, and walking humbly in justice, kindness, and obedience to His call.

We offer our time, talents, and treasures.
We are each uniquely gifted for a purpose. With open hands and generous hearts, we offer our time, talents, and treasures as cheerful stewards of God’s grace, storing up eternal treasures as living sacrifices for His glory.

We value the Word of God and the ways of Jesus.
We value the Ways of Jesus as the highest standard of living, completely submitted to the Word of God as the foundation of who we are. The Bible is what we do. We read it, live it, love it, preach it, use it. The Bible is what we do.

We educate ourselves in God’s truth.
Education is more than the classroom. We educate, equip, and unite those we serve in order to grow in wisdom, maturity, and love.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We believe in one eternal, omnipresent, unchanging, personal God; perfect in holiness, wisdom, love, power, and justice without preceding cause or beginning; creator and preserver of all things, visible and invisible. He exists as one divine being and yet as a trinity of three distinct persons, identical, inseparable, and equal in divinity, power, and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God revealed Himself in the past in many and various ways, though supremely in the person of Jesus Christ. He continues to reveal Himself today through His creation, the Holy Scriptures, and the workings of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of people. He alone is worthy of our worship, honor, praise, and thanksgiving, now and forevermore.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16; Galatians 1:5)
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Word who was with God and was God, is the only begotten Son of God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is the express image of the invisible God. He combines within Himself both the divine nature of God and human nature in one perfect indivisible personality, the God-man. He lived and suffered in the world to show the Way of Life. He was crucified and died as the atonement for the sins of the whole world, making the only provision whereby people can find forgiveness of sins and cleansing from all unrighteousness. He died in our place and was raised the third day for our justification; He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God, ever living as our only Mediator and High Priest making intercession for us, and from there will return again to receive His church unto Himself and to judge the world in righteousness.
(John 1:1-2; John 14:6; Romans 5:10; 1 Corinthians 15:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17)
We believe in the Holy Spirit, not as an impersonal principle or influence, but as a divine person, and though distinct from the Father and Son, proceeding from both, with whom He is equal in authority, power, glory, and titles. He is the divine agent in conviction of sin, regeneration, sanctification, and the believers' assurance. He is given as an indwelling Presence to every believer to be a teacher, guide, and source of comfort. He purifies the heart of the believer and imparts at His own choosing spiritual gifts for service and the building up of the body of Christ. He produces in believers the fruit of the Spirit so that they may conform to the image of Christ.
(John 14:16-17, 26; 16:13-14; John 16:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Galatians 5:22-23)
As with early Friends, we believe that all Scripture, both of the Old and New Testaments, is given by inspiration of God, without error in all that it affirms, and is the only infallible rule of faith and practice. It is fully authoritative and trustworthy, fully sufficient for all believers now and always, and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness. Thus, the declarations contained in it rest on the authority of God Himself, and there can be no appeal from them to any other authority whatever. They are the only divinely authorized record of the doctrines which we are bound as Christians to believe, and of the moral principles which are to regulate our behavior. Only such doctrines as are contained in the Scripture can be regarded as Articles of Faith. The Holy Spirit, who inspired the Scripture, must ever be its true interpreter. Whatever any person says or does which is contrary to the Scripture, though under profession of the guidance of the Spirit, must be reckoned and accounted a delusion. The Scripture demands of believers complete obedience and is made increasingly open to those who study and obey it.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 17:17; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe creation to be that free act of the triune God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, by which in the beginning and for His own glory God made, without use of pre-existing material, the whole visible and invisible universe.
(Genesis 1:1; 1:26-27; Hebrews 1:2; Colossians 1:16; Hebrews 11:3; John 1:3)
We believe in the existence of the Evil One, "that old serpent which is the Devil, and Satan," the old deceiver who by his own choice rebelled against God and became evil, who tempted our first parents to sin, and who through their disobedience brought about the fall of the human race, with all its attendant degeneracy, unhappiness, and misery. Satan demonstrated his evil character and purpose in his perpetual opposition to Christ by the temptations in the wilderness, and to His people and to His kingdom. But Satan's power is limited, and in God's own time he will be chained and finally cast into the lake of fire.
(Revelation 20:2; 12:7-9; Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 2:2)
Creation
We believe that God created humanity by a definite act, making man and woman in His image. He created them holy and capable of knowing and obeying His will so that they might glorify Him and enjoy fellowship with Him forever.
The Fall
We believe that Adam and Eve fell from their original state through a voluntary act of disobedience. As a result, they immediately lost their perfect relationship with God and turned from God-centered living to self-centered living.
Through this act, spiritual death entered the human experience, and sin entered the world. As Scripture teaches, death came through sin and spread to all people. The effects of the Fall extend throughout God's creation, affecting our physical bodies, relationships, and the entire created order.
We further believe that all people are born with a sinful nature that is not subject to the law of God. Therefore, only through God's grace can a person repent and call upon Him for salvation. We also believe that, by God's grace, infants are not under condemnation but are heirs of salvation.
Human Equality and Dignity
We believe that every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses infinite worth and equal value. Every human being is deserving of dignity and respect from conception until natural death.
We reject all forms of racism and any philosophy that teaches the inherent superiority of one group of people over another. We celebrate the diversity of human ethnicities as a reflection of God's creative design and affirm our biblical responsibility to pursue justice for all people.
Gender
We believe that, as part of God's good design, people are purposefully and immutably created as male or female. These two distinct sexes together reflect the image of God and are essential to His design for human flourishing.
We believe that God's purposes in creation provide the foundation for our identity as male or female, in accordance with our biological sex at birth.
Family
We believe that the family is the foundational unit of human relationships and society. From the beginning, God blessed families and commanded humanity to "be fruitful and multiply."
Scripture describes children as a gift from God, to be received with gratitude and lovingly discipled in the ways of the Lord. The relationship within the Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—demonstrates the self-giving love and nurture God intends to be reflected within families.
Singleness
We believe that singleness is a good gift from God for those who are called to it. As demonstrated in the life of Jesus and affirmed by the Apostle Paul, singleness provides unique opportunities for deeper communion with God, meaningful community with others, and devoted service to God's purposes.
Marriage and Sexuality
We believe that God designed marriage and established it for humanity. As revealed in Genesis and affirmed by Jesus Christ, marriage is a God-ordained covenant relationship between one biological man and one biological woman.
Marriage is intended to be a lifelong, sexually exclusive union characterized by faithfulness, sacrificial love, and joy. It provides the God-given context for bearing and raising children and reflects the relationship between God and His people.
We believe that God created humanity as male and female and designed these sexes to complement one another. Monogamous marriage between one man and one woman is God's established foundation for the family and the basic structure of human society.
Accordingly, this church performs marriages only between one man and one woman in accordance with the teachings of Scripture.
We believe that sexual intimacy is a gift from God and is to be expressed only within the covenant of marriage between a husband and wife. Any sexual activity outside of biblical marriage—including premarital sex, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual behavior, incest, bestiality, pedophilia, and pornography—is contrary to God's design and inconsistent with the teachings of Scripture.
We further believe that the creation, distribution, or viewing of pornography is incompatible with the biblical witness.
We believe that God created each person as male or female and that attempts to alter one's gender through surgery or appearance, as well as transgender behavior and other forms of sexual conduct inconsistent with biblical teaching, are contrary to God's design as understood in Scripture.
Marriage is an ordinance of the Church. We define marriage as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman, established as a lifelong commitment. Civil recognition of a union will be acknowledged by the church as a marriage only to the extent that it aligns with this biblical definition.
(Genesis 1:26–28; Romans 5:12; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–32)
We believe that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and through the direct work of the Holy Spirit, people may be reconciled to God and restored from their fallen condition through justification, regeneration, sanctification, and ultimately the resurrection of the body.
Justification
We believe that when sinners repent, surrender themselves to God, and place sincere faith in the power and sufficiency of Jesus Christ's atoning death and shed blood, God forgives their sins and declares them righteous.
This justification is not based on anything they have done, but solely on the obedience, sacrifice, and atoning work of Jesus Christ.
Regeneration
We believe that when sinners repent, surrender themselves to God, and place sincere faith in Jesus Christ, God graciously makes them new creations.
Through the work of the Holy Spirit, they are born again into the family of God and receive a new life characterized by love for God and love for others. Their minds are enlightened to understand God's truth, and their wills are renewed to obey Him as He begins conforming them to the image of Christ.
The evidence of this new birth is the fruit of the Spirit displayed in the believer's life.
Sanctification
We believe that every child of God receives the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion. As believers trust Him and obey His will, they increasingly demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, grow in Christlikeness, and continue in the process of sanctification.
We also believe that it is God's will for believers to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit. God graciously grants this fullness in response to wholehearted consecration, faith in Christ's promises, and confidence in His atoning work.
Sanctification is both an ongoing process and a work of God's grace. Through the Holy Spirit, believers are continually guided into lives of holiness and cleansed from attitudes and conditions that hinder a fully devoted relationship with God.
We further believe that the fullness of the Holy Spirit does not remove a believer's ability to choose sin or prevent the possibility of falling away from God. Rather, the Spirit cleanses and empowers believers to experience victory over sin, to love God and others more fully, and to faithfully witness to the living Christ.
Assurance and Perseverance
We believe that the security of the believer is taught in God's Word and confirmed by the witness of the Holy Spirit. However, we do not believe this security is unconditional.
Just as repentance and faith are the conditions by which a person receives God's free gift of salvation, continued faith demonstrated through obedience is necessary for remaining in that saving relationship with Him.
(Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 5:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:23–24; Hebrews 5:9)
We believe that the Church is made up of all those from the apostles until now, both the triumphant dead and the living, who through response to God's gracious offer of salvation by repentance of their sins and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior have been born again as new creatures in Christ. This Church is spiritual in nature, universal in scope, holy in character, and redemptive in its life and purpose. Its purposes are to make disciples of all nations by its witness to the grace and love of God and to live as a loving fellowship, which builds up one another in the grace and knowledge of God. The Church accomplishes these purposes by its existence as particular local congregations gathered out of the world and as associations of congregations in larger organizations under the leadership and service of those called and gifted to such service. It worships in prayer, thanksgiving, and song; diligently studies the Word of God; witnesses to and proclaims the gospel of God's Son; exercises the gifts of the Spirit; administers discipline; and performs works of blessing and service both physical and spiritual to its members and to all in need.
(Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41-47; Ephesians 4:11-16)
We believe that upon death, the mortal body returns to the dust from which it came. The spirits of the righteous will experience joy and life in the presence of God, but the unrighteous will be separated from His presence in the darkness and torment of their evil. We believe in the literal and personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ to this earth at a time not revealed. At His return the righteous dead will be raised and the righteous living will be changed to their glorification in bodies like their Lord's glorious resurrected body. The unrighteous will also be resurrected for the final judgment. We believe that Christ will consummate His kingdom over all people and nations by His final triumph over Satan. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will finally judge all persons of their belief in Him as demonstrated by the commitment of their lives to the way of the cross; the lost to everlasting punishment, and the redeemed to eternal blessing and life.
(1 Corinthians 15:20-26; 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 20:10-15)
